After a comprehensive safety briefing and paddling instruction from professional guides, the adventure begins. The rafting route covers approximately 12 kilometers (7.5 miles) and lasts around 3 hours, navigating a series of rapids ranging from Class I to Class III+. These conditions provide the ideal balance between adrenaline and safety, making the experience suitable for both beginners and experienced rafters.
Throughout the journey, exciting rapids alternate with calm stretches of water, creating opportunities to swim, float with the current, and relax while enjoying the spectacular surroundings. The region is renowned for its ecological richness, offering breathtaking views of rivers, mountains, rural landscapes, and preserved Atlantic Forest.
One of the tour’s most remarkable highlights awaits at the end of the descent: the meeting point of the Paraibuna, Paraíba do Sul, and Piabanha rivers, forming the only triple river delta in Latin America. • Tour duration: 10hs (approx)
• Rapids level: 1 to 2+ (May to Sep) / 2 to 3+ (Oct to Apr)
• Raft level: moderate
• Raft length: 12 km / 7,5 miles (total – 3 hours)
• Recommendations: wear light clothes, water or regular shoes (it will get wet!), swimming suits, bring water, snacks, dry clothes for changing, towel, cap or hat, sunscreen, mosquito repellent, passport or ID card, cash for extras.
