Treading our history...

RioXtreme was founded with a passion for adventure and a desire to reveal the authentic Rio de Janeiro beyond the traditional tourist experience. For over 15 years, we have been creating unforgettable hiking, adventure, and ecotourism experiences that connect travelers with the extraordinary natural beauty, culture, and lifestyle of Rio de Janeiro. Our commitment to excellence, safety, sustainability, and personalized service has made RioXtreme a trusted reference for outdoor experiences in the region. We believe that Rio is best discovered beyond the postcards. Hidden trails, breathtaking mountain summits, pristine waterfalls, tropical forests, secluded beaches, and vibrant local communities offer a completely different perspective of one of the world's most beautiful cities. Our mission is to provide authentic experiences that allow visitors to explore Rio through the eyes of those who know and love it most. Every tour is carefully designed to combine adventure, nature, culture, and local knowledge, creating meaningful connections and unforgettable memories. Rio de Janeiro is a city meant to be experienced with all the senses. It is the sunrise seen from a mountain peak, the refreshing waters of a hidden waterfall, the energy of the ocean, the sounds of the forest, and the unique spirit of the carioca lifestyle. As locals born and raised in Rio, exploring its mountains, beaches, forests, and natural wonders has always been part of our lives. This passion became our profession and remains the driving force behind everything we do. Our certified guides are experienced outdoor professionals dedicated to sharing the city's most remarkable places while ensuring the highest standards of safety and environmental responsibility. Whether you're hiking to iconic viewpoints, discovering secret corners of the Atlantic Forest, surfing Rio's legendary waves, or experiencing the culture of local communities, RioXtreme invites you to go beyond sightseeing and truly connect with the destination. More than a tour company, we are a team of adventurers, nature lovers, and passionate locals committed to helping you experience the real Rio de Janeiro.
