Founded in 1503 by the navigator Américo Vespúcio, located in the Lakes Region, Arraial do Cabo is approximately two and half hours drive from Rio (170 km / 105 miles).
Famous for being the largest dive center in Rio de Janeiro and one of the most important in Brazil. Its crystal clear waters offer amazing visibility and a rich marine biodiversity, allowing you to see squids, turtles, groupers, lobsters, seahorses, rays or even dolphins. Ideal for beginners and advanced divers.
Jacques Yves Cousteau, one of the pioneers in diving, was amazed with the calm and transparent waters, perfect for diving.
After a few minutes from harbor by boat, we found great diving spots.
The average water temperature is (20°C / 68ºF). Depth of dives from (6 to 35 m / 19 to 115 ft), depending on area and diver's experience.
Full Scuba gear included:
Mask, regulator, 5 mm wetsuit, BCD, fins;
Two tanks for certified divers (Diving certification required);
One tank for the “baptism” (a guided dive for those without certification or experience).
* Important:
* Availability: Tuesday to Sunday;
* Allow more than 12 hours between your dive and your flight;
* Not suitable for people prone to seasickness.
* Availability: Tuesday to Sunday - If the chosen date or the number of participants are not available, contact us so we can try to schedule the tour with your private group.
* In very rare occasions, in case of sudden weather and wind changes, the Coast Guard may prevent the departure of scuba boats from taking place, without notice. If diving is not possible due to force majeure, a beach tour in Arraial do Cabo or Cabo Frio cities will be offered as an alternative.
* Avoid booking Scuba Diving during Carnival season, the New Year's eve (December 30th, 31st, and January 1st, 2nd) as well as the first or last days of local holidays. Yet, if you cannot avoid those periods, be aware that we cannot be held responsible for any extra time spent in traffic jams, or any possible delays on your schedule.
