Hang gliding and paragliding flights in Rio are amazing experiences, with the unique landscape of the city.
The flights take-off from Pedra Bonita ramp, a privileged spot in the Tijuca Forest.It offers a very nice view of the costal islands, the forest, Pedra da Gavea, the Rocinha favela (one of the world’s biggest slums), Morro Dois Irmãos and more.
At the end of this thrilling experience, landing at Pepino's Beach, where we can cool down with some fresh coconut water at the beach sidewalk kiosks.
RioXtreme works only with the best pilots, who have over 20 years of tandem flight experience, certified by the Brazilian Hang Gliding Association and high quality equipment.
Videos with one camera of your flight is included.
* Flight time:
From 9am to 2pm. (will be confirmed a few days before according to the wind forecast).
* Please inform weights and heights in the booking form.
Maximum passenger weight:
Hang gliding: 90kg (200 pounds);
Paragliding: 105kg (230 pounds).
Minimum Age: 16 years old.

Pepino's Beach - São Conrado.

Recommendations:
wear comfortable clothes and shoes (not sandals or flip flops), sunscreen, mosquito repellent and cash for extras (if you wear glasses, bring strap band to avoid it from falling).
General description
* Flight duration: approx. (8-20 minutes) varies according to wind and weather conditions.
* If the chosen date or the number of participants are not available, contact us so we can try to schedule your flight.
* The footage of the front camera is included, but you can also purchase the videos from side and 360º cameras.
* Avoid booking flights during New Year's eve (December 30th, 31st and January 1st, 2nd), Carnival season, as well as the first or last days of local holidays. The ramp over Pedra Bonita is the only ramp available for tandem flights in Rio. The number of flights can triple during this time, which can make the waiting frustrating and exhausting for both customer and pilot. Yet, if you cannot avoid those periods, be aware that we cannot be held responsible for any extra time spent there or any possible delays on your schedule.
